John Fisher

John has a civil engineering background with a particular emphasis on buildings and has over 30 years hands-on experience as a client, consultant, main contractor and subcontractor. He has managed commercial, retail, health, education, airport, rail and heritage restoration projects. Technically he has a particular interest in curtain walling having spent four years as a contracts manager in a specialist façade company where he gained considerable experience of claims and an increasing interest in alternative dispute resolution.
He has had a wide international career spanning many countries and developed profitable consultancy businesses in the UK, UAE and South East Asia before moving to Perth as a project management consultant for the Clifton Coney Group. He was client project manager for the master planning and privatisation of large derelict rail yards in Kuala Lumpur city centre. Recently, John has managed remediation and redevelopment of heavily polluted urban land on behalf of development authorities, steering the development teams through funding processes, land ownership and management, public consultation, planning authorisation, public appointments, design and construction.
John has acted as an expert witness and is a qualified mediator as well as a registered adjudicator. He has lectured internationally on site management, project management and dispute resolution.

John Brears

John is a Building Contractor and Developer, with over 20 years experience in the Northern Territory managing, both large and small, residential, commercial and government construction projects, through the approval process with all the relevant authorities, and the design and construction stages of a project. He is willing to carry out site inspections where necessary to adjudicate a dispute.
John has an honours degree in Civil Engineering and worked in a number of overseas countries before migrating to Australia. He is a qualified mediator, used by the Lands and Mining Tribunal to resolve planning appeal disputes, and has acted as an expert witness in a number of construction disputes in Darwin.
