RGL Mission
RGL aims to effectively administer legislation and
develop policy that minimises harm related to gaming,
racing, liquor, kava, private security, prostitution,
tobacco and associated activities.
RGL Service Charter
To ensure quality service delivery, RGL has developed standards for client interaction,
the Service Charter provides the
basis for obtaining key performance measures and helps fulfil qualitative
reporting requirements.
RGL provides enforcement support for the Northern Territory
Licensing Commission.
Operations Branch
The Operations Branch manages all licensing matters and the daily enforcement of relevant legislation, including:
audit and compliance checks;
assessment of licence applications;
complaint and dispute handling; and
monitoring the technical quality of gambling systems.
Research, Evaluation and Information
The overall objective of the unit is to assist the various units of RGL, the Licensing Commission and the Office of Alcohol Policy and Coordination (OAPC) achieve the business objectives through the provision of services that include, but are not limited to:
research coordination;
information management;
grant administration; and
technology-based gambling system evaluation.
Office of Alcohol Policy and Coordination
Established by Cabinet, the Office of Alcohol Policy and Coordination works across government and the community to enhance the integration and coordination of strategies aimed at reducing alcohol-related harm. It provides advice and assists the development of local alcohol management plans. The Office monitors and implements the Government's whole-of-government approach to alcohol issues.
